Hello my Little Explorers!

We will have lots of FUN because learning in Kinder 4 is AWESOME and we let our CREATIVITY and IMAGINATION shine!!!!

Mom and dad, here are our themes!!! Here, you will discover our opening questions and the description of our themes worked on. Enjoy!!!

Here is a beautiful story shared with my Little Explorers to better understand the voice level accepted in our class. A group of 27, 4 year old kids can be at times a little loud, therefore this story will probably help and better understand our voice level system applied in our class :) An activity worksheet and craft will be done with my little loved ones on their first full day in class.

This morning I read "The Kissing Hand" book to my kids. This activity I do every year because it really helps the children feel reassured and it makes it easier for them to let mom and dad go in the morning. It is the "Kissing Hand Secret". Today, we practiced in class how to do this secret with you. Open your child's hand, spread out their fingers, kiss the palm of their hand and then wrap their fingers around the kiss. Now have your child do the same with you. The secret is that this kiss never fades away or washes off. Therefore, during the day if you miss mom and dad or if you miss your child, just open your hand that holds the kiss and place it on your cheek to receive the kiss that will fill up your heart and reassure you.

We then made a craft about Chester the raccoon. The kids loved it!!!

Another special activity awaits them on Friday!!!! I can't wait :)

Question: How can we get to know each other better by going on a camping trip? Will our adventure allow us to make interesting discoveries, make connections and create stronger friendships?

Description: We all have a little knowledge about what camping is. A fun time spent together in nature that brings us closer and allows us to help one another. A time to talk, to question, to make stories and to sing around a beautiful roaring fire while grilling marshmallows and enjoying every bite of sweetness. Although, lots can happen on a camping trip bringing us to face new challenges. Together, let's create our very own camping story and live many amazing experiences!!! Will we be able to make our story come to live for you to be able to enjoy as well???? Let's see how our camping trip goes :)

Little Explorers, let's begin our first AMAZING adventure together on this first theme!

Question: How can we help find the Witch's cat in time for Halloween? We need magic and recreate the Hansel and Gretel story for this!!!

Description: A Witch came by through the forest presenting her magical cat to us. Kitty Cat's fur is white during the day and then turns black at night. Her cat likes the the smell of spiders, if ever needed. The Witch lives in a house just like ours, but on Halloween night, all of her house turns into Candy. She lives in a magical environment with her broom and magical wand. This nice Witch travels on her broom during the full moon to meet all Halloween creatures and to refresh her magic. With the help of the Witches' Spell Book that was delivered to us, we will be able to make magic to help us find Kitty Cat in time for Halloween as well as make Clickity Clack (who will help build the house) come to live once we find that special key. If we don't succeed, the Witch will lose all of her magic. During this adventure, we must learn about the Halloween creatures and reinvent the Hansel and Gretel Story.  Let's do it Little Explorers!!!

Question: How can we help the Grinch's heart grow bigger and make Santa feel the Spirit of Christmas again before leaving for our Christmas Holidays?

Description: Having the Grinch and his grumpiness around Santa Claus has turned Santa into a grumpy mood. He has lost all of his Christmas Spirit. We have 23 days of missions to complete in order to help the Grinch's heart grow bigger. Since Santa has lost his Christmas Spirit, nothing is happening in his toy shop either!!! We must therefore recreate his North Pole environment by creating several of his workshops such as the Christmas tree workshop, the cookies workshop, the toy workshop, the gift workshop and more!!! The missions are filled with Christmas Spirit that will help the Grinch's heart grow bigger through several acts of kindness, offerings, Christmas caroling and more!!! Once we get the Grinch's heart to grow bigger, Santa will become jolly again. Let's do this kids! We are the best and we will succeed to bring Santa back to himself. We will have a lovely Christmas and the Grinch will also. become happy too :)
